Britain’s second-manliest man poses naked for Cosmopolitan magazine
Britain’s second-manliest man has posed naked for a leading UK women’s magazine.
Chris Brain, who finished runner up to Sacha Harding in our Britain’s Manliest Man competition, is the naked centrefold for the November issue of Cosmopolitan magazine.
The popular magazine, which has a circulation of over 400,000, came out earlier this month and sees Chris completely naked – although his modesty is covered.
The November issue is the “Man Issue” and hundreds of readers nominated their boyfriends and friends to become centrefolds.
Chris, a Manxman, was picked, along with two others, and joins the likes of Lenny Kravitz, Ronan Keating, David James, Ewan McGregor and Eminem all of who have been centrefolds in the past.
Bedford Blues rugby sensation Sacha narrowly beat Chris in our recent Britain’s Manliest Man competition.
Chris, who is now working as a project designer in London, polled more than 100,000 votes as he took second place.
Back in August of this year we conducted a UK survey to determine which stars people believed had the most masculine facial and body features.
Using the results, we came up with “Bradiel Buthney”, a combination of George Clooney’s hair, Gerrard Butler’s eyes, Brad Pitt’s nose, Jason Statham’s jawline and Daniel Craig’s body.
We then launched an appeal with the Daily Express newspaper to find men who matched the criteria.
Hundreds applied but, after much deliberation, eight ruggedly handsome suitors were shortlisted in Britain’s biggest masculinity manhunt. Sacha won the public vote and is now the face of our unique shaving brand.
The November issue of Cosmopolitan featuring Chris is on sale now.
Sacha Harding named Britain’s manliest man
Bedford Blues flanker Sacha Harding has been crowned Britain’s manliest man after narrowly beating rival Chris Brain in the public vote.
The rugby star polled more than 140,000 votes to win the nationwide competition and a one-year modelling contract to become the new face of The Bluebeards Revenge.
In August, the shaving brand carried out a survey to find what famous people’s features were judged most manly before launching an appeal with the Daily Express to find men who matched the criteria.
The composite masculine man was a combination of George Clooney’s hair, Scottish actor Gerard Butler’s eyes, Hollywood star Brad Pitt’s nose, British actor Jason Statham’s mouth and James Bond-actor Daniel Craig’s body. We dubbed this man ‘Bradiel Buthney’.
Hundreds applied but, after much deliberation, eight ruggedly handsome suitors were shortlisted in Britain’s biggest masculinity manhunt. And it was Sacha who came out on top of this masculine pile.
Paul Hunter, Elliot Stevens, Ken Townsend, Oliver Gwyn-Jones, Simon Thorne and Craig Stevenson were the other six finalists.
Tom Truman, spokesperson for The Bluebeards Revenge, said: “The Bluebeards Revenge is the most masculine shaving cream on the market for men with heavy stubble, and so we set out to find the British man out there who was separated at birth with the world’s most manly fantasy man, ‘Bradiel Buthney’.
“These eight rugged chaps were all worthy winners, but it was Sacha who secured the most public votes.
“We would like to thank all eight guys for their enthusiasm, hard work, commitment and manliness. They have all been a pleasure to work with and will always be considered part of the Bluebeards family”
Sacha took his campaign to become Britain’s manliest man to BBC TV, BBC Radio, the Rugby Times and the Bedfordshire on Sunday newspaper as he looked to secure those all important votes.
The 27-year-old will now take part in photoshoots and TV ads; he will also shave in a host of extreme masculine locations, including a lion’s den and while skydiving.

More media coverage for Paul Hunter
Paul Hunter is a man on a mission. The hunky forensic specialist has become something of a media darling in the past few weeks.
First he graced the pages of the Daily Express and Leicester Mercury, he then went on BBC Radio to talk to top presenter Tony Wadsworth and only last week gave an interview to his local newspaper, the Lutterworth Mail.
Paul, who works as a forensic officer at the National Policing Improvement Agency in Coventry, told the Lutterworth Mail: “The last few weeks have been very strange.
“I’m sure there are a lot more people you’d find down the pub on a Friday night who are a lot more masculine than me.
“It would be nice to think an ordinary bloke like me could win it though.”
The 40-year-old, from Dunton Bassett, beat hundreds of hopefuls to be shortlisted in our competition to find Britain’s most masculine male.
His wife, Sharron, entered Paul into our manly contest after reading an article in the Daily Express about the nationwide manhunt.
We carried out a survey to find what famous people’s features were judged most manly before launching an appeal with the Express to find men who matched the criteria.
The composite masculine man was a combination of George Clooney’s hair, Scottish actor Gerard Butler’s eyes, Hollywood star Brad Pitt’s nose, British actor Jason Statham’s mouth and James Bond-actor Daniel Craig’s body.
Paul is up against seven other hopefuls in the final of the competition, with people being invited to vote online for their favourite hunk.

Simon Thorne, one of eight men shortlisted in the hunt to find the face of our unique shaving cream, has given an interview to the Wigan Evening Post.
The 36-year-old, who is in the running to be crowned Britain’s manliest man, told the newspaper: “I’m just a regular guy and I couldn’t believe it when I got the call from the Bluebeards Revenge people saying I was shortlisted to the final of this competition.
“However, I love a challenge and so went along to the photoshoot and had a really good time.”
Simon, who lives in Bolton, works for Wigan-based property company, Yarrow Properties Ltd.
He has three daughters and was entered into the competition by his wife after she saw an article about the manhunt in the Daily Express.
The 36-year-old added: “My wife told me she had entered me and we thought nothing of it, but when they rang to say I had got through, I thought it was all a bit surreal.
“I was really nervous on the drive to the shoot, as I hadn’t really done anything like this before.
“But the other seven finalists were all great guys too, and we all helped each other through it.
“One of the things that attracted me to the brand was they give away a donation of every tub of The Bluebeards Revenge to fire-fighter charities.
“Having seen how genuinely heroic the guys at the Greater Manchester Fire Service are, it would be great to help raise funds for them when they get injured whilst saving lives.”
If Simon, from Stoneclough, wins the public vote, not only will he take part in photoshoots and TV ads, he will also shave in a host of extreme masculine locations, including a lion’s den and while skydiving.
