At The Bluebeards Revenge, we work hard to support meaningful charitable causes that we believe in. Since 2010 we have developed sincere relationships with many charities and we are proud of the help we’ve given to each and every one of them. In particular, we pour huge amounts of effort in to our support of The Lions Barber Collective; Armour to Barber; The Royal Marines Shop and (by association) The Royal Marines Charity; and Orchid Male Cancer.
The Lions Barber Collective
The Lions Barber Collective works hard to raise awareness and prevent male suicides. Its Barber Talk initiative educates barbers in how to effectively communicate with clients about mental health struggles and depression. It also offers direction to those who might need further support moving forward. The charity regularly hosts engaging campaigns aimed at encouraging men to talk to their barbers (and each other) about their issues, rather than hiding behind archaic stereotypes.
The Bluebeards Revenge is dedicated to promoting and supporting the fine work that The Lions Barber Collective creates. As a brand, we have supported the charity with a multitude of PR, including clippings from The Sun, Sky News, The Daily Express, Joe.co.uk, The Lad Bible, The Huffington Post, The Independent, The Metro, The Daily Mail and more.
We have also collaborated with the charity’s founder, Tom Chapman, to create a specially branded Hair Gel, with 50p from every tub sold being donated straight back to the charity. Alongside this product, the insides of The Bluebeards Revenge cartons have been rebranded with powerful messages to support The Lions Barber Collective.
Armour to Barber
The Armour to Barber movement was founded by former serviceman, and current ambassador for The Bluebeards Revenge, Liam Hamilton. A barber since his early 20s, Liam served in the Coldstream Guards for 21-years before returning to a barber shop. Upon leaving the Guards, he faced an adversity that many members of the armed forces are confronted with – a lack of post-service opportunities. Thankfully, barbering gave him a platform to build his own business, learn a respected trade and enjoy a life of creativity.
Today, the Armour to Barber movement offers crucial support, advice and training to any former forces members that wish to become barbers. It does this thanks to its network of committed barbers and barbershops all over the UK.
The Bluebeards Revenge has a very special relationship with the armed forces, especially as our Managing Director, David Hildrew, is himself a former Royal Marines Commando. The Bluebeards Revenge helps Liam Hamilton and the Armour to Barber team by providing those that wish to pursue new careers in barbering with barbershop-quality hair, shave and beard products. The Armour to Barber team can also be regularly found supporting The Bluebeards Revenge at industry trade shows all around the world.
Orchid Male Cancer
Orchid is the UK’s leading charity working on behalf of anyone affected by or interested in male cancer – prostate, testicular and penile cancer. Orchid exists to save men’s lives from male cancer through a range of support services, education and awareness campaigns and a pioneering research programme.
The Bluebeards Revenge has worked with Orchid Male Cancer since 2012. Since then, the brand has made huge efforts to spread the word and get men to take more of a responsibility when it comes to male cancers. Variations of The Bluebeards Revenge packaging have featured lifesaving information on male cancers (featuring former England rugby player Phil Vickery) and the brand has supported Orchid at many branded events.
The Royal Marines Shop
The Royal Marines Shop is wholly owned by the Royal Marines Association and all of its proceeds go back to the Royal Marines Charity to help support serving Marines, veterans and all of their families. The Royal Marines Shop operates as a not-for-profit e-commerce business with the aim of supplying branded merchandise to serving and retired Royal Marines, their families and all associates.
The Bluebeards Revenge has a very special relationship with The Royal Marines, especially as our Managing Director, David Hildrew, is himself a former Royal Marines Commando.
Each month, our team donates £1000 worth of product to The Royal Marines Shop to help them raise crucial funds for serving and retired Royal Marines, their families and all associated with the cause.
