Britain’s Best Wet Shaving Barber is to take to the stage at the UK’s biggest hairdressing trade show this October to show off his impeccable barbering skills.

Luigi Caterino, who runs The Italian Job Barbershop in Galashiels, Scotland, has been invited to perform by the British Barbers’ Association at this year’s Salon International. Demonstrating in front of a packed live audience, he will show onlookers how the perfect wet shave is really done, as well as teaching them how to create some of the latest men’s hairstyles for Autumn/Winter 2015. The event is set to take place at ExCel London between 10th and 12th October, and is expected to draw scores of industry professionals in from both around the UK and abroad.

It won’t be the first time on stage for the shaving superstar, who stunned judges at the final of iconic barbering competition Britain’s Best Shave earlier this year to walk away with the prestigious 2015 title. It was his second chance at the competition, run by the British Barbers’ Association and premium men’s grooming brand The Bluebeards Revenge, having made it as far as the live finals back in 2014.

Luigi, who was named official barber for Scottish football club Rangers as a result of his win, said that he was excited to be back under the spotlight.

“I’m really looking forward to getting onstage again at Salon International. Anyone in the industry will know what an important event it is, and to have the opportunity to help others to learn with my own skills at such a prestigious show is going to be a really rewarding experience.”

The three day Salon International event combines a bustling exhibition hall full of professional brands, products and services, making it a one-stop-shop for industry professionals and hairdressing enthusiasts alike. This year’s occasion will see an even greater range of Salon Live and Salon Seminar sessions, offering guests access to inspirational and educational displays as well as the chance to mingle with the hairdressing elite.
