American sports car takes coveted crown from Ford Mustang, while VW Beetle is still most feminine

American sports car takes coveted crown from Ford Mustang, while VW Beetle is still most feminine
Back in 2011, the Ford Mustang was awarded the title, but now luxury male grooming brand The Bluebeards Revenge has demanded a recount, with the unequivocally masculine Dodge Viper crowned the World’s Manliest Car.

With a hefty 30% of the votes, it’s easy to see why the sleek and sporty American motor clinched the top spot, but it was a close shave for the car, with the Mustang only a fraction behind on 28%.
At the other end of the spectrum, the VW Beetle retained its least manly crown, with the humble Smartcar and Mini Cooper also making the top three most feminine cars.

“The Bluebeards Revenge grooming range began with the development of a shaving line aimed at ‘manly’ men with tough stubble, and back in 2011 we set about crowning an equally masculine motor as the Manliest Car in the World”, said Nick Gibbens, Marketing Manager for The Bluebeards Revenge.

“It’s been a while since the original poll, and we wanted to gauge whether or not public opinion had changed, as there have been a lot of new contenders launched in the meantime.

“As it happens, opinion has changed, although the winner of the title is still a real classic, originally conceived in 1988 and released in ’92, and modernised since to bring us the current SRT model.

“We know that certain cars have a higher percentage of buyers from either the male or female population but it’s interesting to look at whether or not our perception of what is manly or feminine measures up with those statistics. As it turns out, largely, it does.”

When asked what characteristics had most influence on whether a car was deemed manly or not, speed, performance, horsepower and character were among the most commonly cited answers.

The Bluebeards Revenge is a ‘manly’ grooming range with a shaving line aimed at men with tough stubble.
These products contain Decelerine™, a unique ingredient that targets hair follicle cells and weakens new hair formation. It has proved to be effective in inhibiting hair growth, decreasing length and density of unwanted hair and also providing a soothing, moisturising and anti-inflammatory effect on the skin.

As well as slowing down beard re-growth, Decelerine™ relieves and soothes the effects of shaving, helping to combat common shaving problems like razor burn, razor rash and bumps.
