We are proud to announce the latest addition to The Bluebeards Revenge Ambassador team Márkó Hunyady. Márkó is our first European ambassador with his barbershop located in the heart of Budapest, Hungary.
We caught up with Márkó to chat about his new role as a brand ambassador and why Bluebeards is the brand for him;
Hey Márkó, tell us a little about yourself!
I’m Márkó, I’m 28 years old and I have a daughter who is 5 years old. In my spare time I really enjoy fishing, football and I’m also a huge fan of Italy, Vespas in particular!
How long have you been a barber and why did you choose this profession?
I started barbering nine years ago and then I brought my own shop six years ago, Art Salon Budapest. We have two barbers and two hairdressers on the shop floor so it’s a really nice busy and fun atmosphere to work in. (check us out at @artsalonbudapest on Instagram!).
When I was a teenager I used to play football and I started practising cutting hair on my team mates for fun after training. It got popular after a while so I committed to learning to become a professional hairdresser and I have never looked back
After attending an international academy for my training I worked for Tony & Guy for few years before starting my own business.
Who inspires you within the barbering industry?
Many stylists have inspired me during this journey, but if I have to pick one it would be Joao Rocha. I am a big fan of his techniques and his devoted culture to service.
If you weren’t a barber, what would you be?
If I wasn’t a barber, I would want to be a chef! I love to cook when I can and I think it’s a lot like cutting hair; it gives me the same feeling than when the client is satisfied with their haircut!
What’s your favourite product from The Bluebeards Revenge?
I would say my favourite product is the Sea Salt Spray! I love the natural look and wave it creates; it’s such a versatile product as it’s easy to use before or after drying.
What does it mean to you to become an ambassador for the Bluebeards Revenge?
It means a lot to me. I always loved and admired Bluebeards and it’s a privilege and big responsibility for me to represent the brand.
What’s your best bit of advice to men who want to look after their image?
Look after yourself. As per everything in life I think it’s about being constant and creating discipline. Building a good relationship with your barber for sure will help a lot 🙂 but choosing the right products to use on yourself is essential.
